Motion on Western Isles Scouts

That the parliament congratulates the Scouting movement in the Western Isles on achieving the highest rate of growth in the UK; notes that the number of Scouts in the Western Isles almost doubled in 2009 with 45% new members having joined the islands’ scouts in the past year and leading to four new units being established and helping the UK Scout Movement achieve its biggest increase in membership since 1972; believes that scouting helps young people achieve their full social, physical and intellectual potential and looks forward to a bright future for scouting in the Western Isles.
