Short Title: Carloway School, Yellow Pages Recycling Champions for Scotland

S3M-05316 Alasdair Allan (Western Isles) (SNP): That the Parliament congratulates Carloway Primary School from the Isle of Lewis on being named Yellow Pages Recycling Champions for Scotland 2009 after coming first in the small schools category; recognises that the school’s 26 pupils recycled 566 old Yellow Pages directories between them when the new ones were delivered last year; also notes that Shelibost Primary School from the Isle of Harris was runner-up in the small schools category after recycling 17 old Yellow Pages directories per pupil, and welcomes the recognition that was given to the recycling efforts and achievements of all of the schools that took part in this huge environmental competition and challenge.
